Together means in a joint effort. That describes October for me.
Balloon Rally weekend was a great example of coming together, regardless of the group in which you belong. Rotary was a part of it at the city auditorium! The Imagination Library table was a last-minute idea, but we were welcomed with open arms by Caledonia Library, Friends of the Library, and Caledonia Spirit to share their space.
As a result of coming together at our social that same week, Rotary quickly threw together a raffle basket for Friends of the Library. Stop by the Caledonia Library to view and purchase chances on the numerous donated baskets. Drawing for the winners will be held in December.
Our four Rotary committees have been formed and are getting together to discuss creative ideas to better our club. The chairs will be reporting back to us in December.
We ended the month coming together for a beautiful day in Sprague Woods. The two-hour work session was the first in a series to rid the woods of invasive species such as buckthorn. Stay tuned for the next outing!
October proved that together, the results are immense!!! Check out the followings dates for gathering, so far, in November.

RYLA is going virtual! As much as we wish we could see you all at Camp Upham Woods this year, we're playing it safe as we make it through the pandemic.
Participants will attend sessions virtually over two days in May, 2021:
May 16th, 2:00-5:00pm May 17th, 6:00-8:00pm
How to get your students registered for RYLA
Fill out the “Club Registration Form” to tell us how many students you’re sending. (more details are in the attached Rotary Tool Kit for Student Selection document)
Have all students along with their parents/guardians fill out the “Student Registration Form” (this link is only to be given to students that your club sponsors to go to RYLA, more details are given in the attached RYLA Registration Process document)
After the forms are completed (both the Club form as well as the Student form for each student you sponsor), the District 6250 office will send an invoice for payment
The registration deadline is April 15, 2021.
What Is RYLA?
The Rotary District 6250 RYLA program is a camp designed to build future leaders and Rotarians who exemplify the four way test.
Is it the Truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build good will and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Where is it?
In 2021 RYLA will be held virtually via Zoom - Details will be sent to RYLA students and staff after registration.
RYLA typically is held at Camp Upham Woods, Wisconsin Dells, WI
When is it?
The 2021 Rotary District 6250 RYLA Program is scheduled for May 16-17, 2021.
Who can attend?
Each year Rotary Clubs can sponsor students from local high schools to attend (it is strongly suggested sophomores be chosen, however this is not a requirement)
Adult Rotarians are always welcome and needed to help facilitate the Conference (and to come have fun!)
