Running through the Lavender rows at the Lavender Festival in Sequim. Sequim Washington is the Lavender capital of the U.S.
Lavender production in Sequim exceeded that of Provence, France last year. The arid climate due to the rain shadow of the Olympic mountains is an excellent environment for Lavender, blueberries, blackberries, and older transplanted Minnesotans.
