June 2024
Hello Fellow Rotarians:
June in the Rotary year is like graduation. In our case, it is the culmination of a year of Rotary service. As I look back through this year, I want to remind you of all you've done in the name of Rotary as service to our community. According to my calculations, which may be a little underestimated, 671 hours were volunteered for these projects.
- Helping Hands Backpack Giveaway
- Imagination Library
- Gazebo Garden maintenance
- Assist Interact at Moontunes
- Parking Cars one night of Fair
- Historical Society during fair
- Rotary Lights
- Neighbors Day
- Garage Sale
- Scholarships
Thank you to all members who assisted in some way during the year! Now, we have to get geared up for the 2024-25 year projects.
What a good social we had last Friday evening. The weather cooperated so we sat around the firepit with a wonderful fire produced and stoked by Randy. Our club's Rotarian of the Year, Sherry Sime, was awarded a Pink Lemonade Peony plant for her garden. Paul Harris awards were presented to Dan Small and Sherry Sime. Congratulations to you.
Randy is heading up our Quillin's Cook Out Fundraiser on June 21. He needs volunteers to grill and serve beginning about 9:30 a.m. Let him know you are willing and able.
Sherry and I will be a "dynamic duo' speaking at the June 11th Tuesday morning program. We were asked to talk about Rotary. Someone will also be talking about the Lions Club.
Thanks for a productive year of Rotary!
Naomi
